Famously known as Liquid Germall Plus , Preservative - Water Soluble PF is a highly effective antimicrobial preservative designed to protect water-based formulations from bacteria, yeast, and mold. This versatile preservative combines Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate to provide broad-spectrum protection for a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products, including lotions, shampoos, body butters, and scrubs.

Suggested Uses: Ideal for water-based formulation such as body butter, scrubs, hair care products, and lotions. Should not be used in aerosols. .

Recommended Usage

• Lotions & Creams: Add 0.1% to 0.5% in water-based lotions and creams during the cool-down phase, below 122°F (50°C) to ensure preservation.
• Shampoos & Hair Care Products: Use 0.1% to 0.5% for water-based hair care products like shampoos and conditioners.
• Body Butters & Scrubs: For high-water content products like body butters and scrubs, incorporate at 0.1% to 0.5% to prevent microbial growth.

Formulation Tips

• Incorporation: This preservative should be added during the cool-down phase when the product is below 122°F (50°C) to avoid compromising its efficacy.
• pH Compatibility: Works well in formulations with a pH range of 3 to 8, ensuring versatility across different cosmetic applications.
• Compatibility: Soluble in cationic, anionic, and non-ionic water-soluble formulations. Avoid using in aerosol products.

Storage Guidelines:
Storage: Store in an airtight, cool, and dark place between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C) to maintain its efficacy. Keep tightly sealed when not in use.
Shelf Life: 2 years when stored properly.
