How It Works
Lactobacillus, commonly used in fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut, produces bacteriocins, which help inhibit unwanted microbial growth. During manufacturing, lysozyme is added to break down cell walls and maximize the release of antimicrobial peptides. This enhances the effectiveness of Leucidal® SF Max in controlling bacteria and fungi.

Formulation Tips
- Usage rate: 2.0% – 4.0%
- pH stability: Best performance in formulations with a pH between 3 and 8 (optimum below 6)
- Solubility: Water-soluble, mix well before use
- Temperature stability: Add during the cool-down phase at temperatures below 70°C (158°F). For best results, allow further cooling and incorporate when the formula is below 40°C (104°F) to prevent destabilization.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and humidity
- Recommended storage temperature: 50°F – 77°F (10°C – 25°C)
- Do not freeze; mix well before use if sedimentation occurs

Leucidal® SF Max provides effective broad-spectrum protection; however, we recommend stability and microbial testing in each formulation to ensure proper preservation. For additional yeast and mold protection, consider using AMTicide Coconut in combination with this preservative.
