Honeyquat PF: Conditioning & Moisturizing Agent for Hair & Skin
Honeyquat PF is a cationic quaternary polymer derived from honey, designed to deeply condition, hydrate, and improve manageability in hair and skin formulations. As a positively charged conditioning agent, Honeyquat PF binds effectively to the negatively charged surface of hair and skin, delivering long-lasting moisture and softness. This water-soluble humectant is ideal for shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and body care products, providing lightweight conditioning without buildup.

Key Features
- Superior Moisture Retention – Acts as a humectant, drawing moisture into hair and skin for lasting hydration.
- Deep Conditioning & Softness – Binds to hair and skin for enhanced smoothness and reduced frizz.
- Enhances Shine & Luster – Improves hair’s overall appearance by adding a soft, healthy glow.
- Non-Foam Reducing – Unlike some conditioning agents, it does not interfere with the foaming properties of surfactants.
- Water-Soluble & Easy to Use – Freely dissolves in water-based formulations without emulsifiers.
Suggested Uses
- Shampoos & Conditioners: 2-5% to improve hydration, shine, and frizz control.
- Leave-In Treatments: 1-3% for softening, detangling, and enhancing manageability.
- Lotions & Creams: 1-3% to add a lightweight, non-greasy moisturizing effect.
- Cleansers & Body Washes: 1-4% to boost moisture retention without reducing foam.
Formulation Tips
- Incorporation: Add in the cool-down phase (below 45°C) to preserve its conditioning properties.
- Carbomer Compatibility: Can be used with pre-neutralized carbomers (Carbopol 1342, ETD 2020, 941, and 940) to create clear gels. Slight viscosity loss may occur but can be adjusted by increasing the carbomer content by 10%.
- pH Considerations: Works best in formulations with a final pH of 4.0–6.5 for optimal stability and effectiveness.
Storage
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place at 23-25°C. Avoid freezing.
- Shelf Life: 2 years from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Safety Note
- Safety: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
